Directions:
Head out of Consett on the A692 towards Newcastle and pick up the A1 at Team Valley. Leave the A1 almost immediately and take A184 towards Gateshead. Go straight across three roundabouts and then turn left onto the A167(M) Central Motorway across the Tyne Bridge. Leave the Central Motorway on the A1058 Coast Road towards Tynemouth. Leave the Coast Road at the first exit after the Corner House pub in Jesmond Dene, (the Chillingham Road exit) and turn left onto the A188 (Benton Road). Stay on the A188 for about a mile and half, crossing two roundabouts, then at the roundabout junction with the A191 take the third exit right towards Whitley Bay. The ground is on your right about two thirds of a mile after the roundabout.
